We quite often get requests for a wireless video intercom system. People want to be able to place a camera/intercom at their front door or gate and then have a monitor inside the house or business. Unfortunately, there was only one true wireless video intercom on the market, but it was discontinued. It was called the Mobi Wireless Video Intercom and you may still be able to find a website or two that still has stock, but probably not for long. Evidently it was not discontinued because of technical issues, but rather due to lack of sales.

At www.IntercomsOnline.com we do carry one wireless video solution, although it does not allow you to have a voice conversation with the person on the other end. The SVAT Video Security/Baby Monitor System enables you to place an outdoor camera at the front door or gate so you can at least see who is there.

If you really need voice capability you can add the WireFree Wireless 900MHz Doorbell and Intercom system which will give you the audio portion. The combination of both of these products costs less than a comparable wired intercom, although it is not as integrated.

If you can run a wire, then the Cyrex HFX-800M Color Hands-Free Video Door Phone/Intercom System is our most popular selling unit at www.IntercomsOnline.com. This unit lets you record who comes to your door onto a computer SD memory card, which you can then transfer to your computer. That’s a great feature if you need to give video evidence to the police.
