A painting contractor lived about three-quarters of a mile away from his workshop and he needed a way to be alerted whenever someone entered his workshop. He also wanted his wife to be able to communicate with him via intercom.

The solution was the MURS 4-Mile Range intercom system along with the MURS Alert Transmitter. We carry this as the MURS Base and MURS Alert Kit which can be found under the Driveway Alarms section of www.IntercomsOnline.com .

He placed one intercom in his house and one intercom in the workshop. That took care of the wireless intercom communication between his home and shop. He placed the MURS Alert Transmitter in the workshop, which then sounded an “Alert Zone 1″ verbal message on the intercom in his house whenever it was triggered.
