Long-Range Wireless Driveway Alarms For Long Driveways
A customer had a driveway that was about one mile long and they wanted to be alerted when someone was coming down the driveway. They did not want to run a wire that far so they wanted a wireless solution.
The MURS Alert Kit had all the features they wanted and more. It is a long range wireless driveway alarm that consists of a wireless intercom and a wireless motion sensor. It is capable of up to a four mile range. When someone is coming down the driveway, the motion sensor sends a verbal “Alert Zone One” message to the wireless intercom. They can have multiple wireless intercoms in their house. They can also use these intercoms as intercoms for internal communication.
There is even a handheld two-way radio that works with this system so they can be roaming around their property and still know when someone is coming down the driveway.
There are two sensors available, one probe sensor that gets buried along the driveway and only goes off when it detects metal. The other detects motion.

Remote Workshop Security and Intercom
A painting contractor lived about three-quarters of a mile away from his workshop and he needed a way to be alerted whenever someone entered his workshop. He also wanted his wife to be able to communicate with him via intercom.
The solution was the MURS 4-Mile Range intercom system along with the MURS Alert Transmitter. We carry this as the MURS Base and MURS Alert Kit which can be found under the Driveway Alarms section of www.IntercomsOnline.com .
He placed one intercom in his house and one intercom in the workshop. That took care of the wireless intercom communication between his home and shop. He placed the MURS Alert Transmitter in the workshop, which then sounded an “Alert Zone 1″ verbal message on the intercom in his house whenever it was triggered.
