Wireless Intercom Used to Meet Fire Codes
There are new building construction codes that require fireproof stairwells where people can go in the event of a fire. The codes also require a battery powered intercom system of some sort be placed in the stairwell and another in a location that a fireman can call into the stairwell to see if anyone is in there.
The WireFree Outdoor Intercom (Set of 2) meets the needs of the fire codes. It is battery powered and can be easily mounted inside the stairwell.

Need Wireless Intercoms That Penetrate Concrete
The customer lived in a house that is made of solid concrete and needed an intercom that would penetrate the concrete. Cordless telephones do not work in his house. He also had a gate up front that he wanted to monitor.
The MURS Multi-Mile Intercom will penetrate the concrete walls. The MURS Callbox XT Outdoor Intercom is a waterproof wireless intercom that works with the inside base station intercoms. It is waterproof and in a hardened case.
The MURS Basic Commercial Callbox could also be used, but the antenna must be wrapped with a waterproof tape per manufacturer’s instructions. The tape is available at building supply stores.

A campsite needed a way to get notices out to all their campers, but they didn’t want to run wires to PA speakers all over the campground. The cost would have been prohibitive.
With the MURS Wireless PA System they didn’t have to since it receives its pages via a wireless signal. They can send pages using a base station intercom in the main office, or through portable two-way radios when they are roaming around the grounds.

Gazelle Monitoring on a Wildlife Ranch
This customer wanted a way of knowing when his herd of Gazelles came in through a gate to feed. He wanted to close the gate and trap the gazelles in when they did come in. If he tried to go out there to close the gate, the gazelles ran off.
The solution was the MURS Base and MURS Alert Kit which consists of a wireless intercom and a motion sensor that speaks an “Alert Zone One” message when the gazelles enter the gated area.
When the motion sensor triggers the intercom, a relay on the intercom is also closed. This is used to activate a wireless gate control so the gate closes automatically.

Remote Workshop Security and Intercom
A painting contractor lived about three-quarters of a mile away from his workshop and he needed a way to be alerted whenever someone entered his workshop. He also wanted his wife to be able to communicate with him via intercom.
The solution was the MURS 4-Mile Range intercom system along with the MURS Alert Transmitter. We carry this as the MURS Base and MURS Alert Kit which can be found under the Driveway Alarms section of www.IntercomsOnline.com .
He placed one intercom in his house and one intercom in the workshop. That took care of the wireless intercom communication between his home and shop. He placed the MURS Alert Transmitter in the workshop, which then sounded an “Alert Zone 1″ verbal message on the intercom in his house whenever it was triggered.

Boat Owners Open Gates At House While On Lake.
One problem people who own lake houses with gated entries have, is how to be notified that they have visitors when they are at their boat house or on the lake. One solution is to use a wireless intercom at the gate and a two-way handheld radio on the boat.
The intercom and radio can communicate up to a couple of miles apart. By pressing a button on the radio, the gate can be opened from a remote location.
The following products can be found on the Commercial Intercoms section of www.intercomsonline.com
The combination of products to do this is the MURS Callbox XT Outdoor Intercom with Gate Relay along with the MURS J-V110 Two-Way Radio
